
Training of Trainers on Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) in Karnali Province
SIAN, in coordination with the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration (MoFAGA) and support from Save the Children, conducted a Training of Trainers on Child-Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) in Karnali Province, From 22–24 May 2025. Total 25 participants—including Ward Chairpersons, Child Welfare Authorities, and representatives from Save the Children’s partner organizations in Karnali such as KIRDARC, PTYSM, SOSEC, VDSEF Nepal, HRDC, and CRC Karnali—participated This Training of Trainers aimed at accelerating CFLG declaration and implementation at the local level.
The training covered key topics including CFLG indicators, child rights laws, preparation of child profiles, Child status paper, Child Investment Plans, Child Clubs and Bal Bhela. Participants also explored post-declaration strategies. The program concluded with a closing session and certificate distribution, featuring encouraging remarks from Honorable Member Ashok Nath Yogi, Member of the Karnali Province Planning Commission, and Mr. Ratna Raj Ojha, Head of Field Program Operations at Save the Children.
