Strategic Meeting was held between SIAN and NARMIN
On 19 May 2025, a strategic meeting was held between SIAN and NARMIN to strengthen the child rights mechanism and implementation of child rights at the local level. Key discussions focused on implementing Sections 60, 61, 62, and 63 of the Children Act 2075, which are directly related to the roles and responsibilities of local governments. During the meeting, SIAN handed over a 33-points memorandum outlining priority issues to be integrated into the upcoming FY 082/83 local government plans and budgets.
NARMIN has committed to recommend and communicate its member local government to promptly designate CWAs and incorporate child rights priorities based on the 33-point memorandum provided by SIAN.
