Message from Chairperson

Established in 2004, the Society for Integrated Allied Nepal (SIAN) is a national NGO committed to advancing child rights protection and promotion, inclusive development, democracy, and human resource development across Nepal. As an autonomous, non-political, and non-profit entity, SIAN is governed by a nine-member executive board and 21 trustee members, all dedicated civil society representatives and development professionals.
SIAN’s core work revolves around child rights protection and promotion, motivated to provide quality education, ensure food security, and create safe, dignified environments for all Nepalese children, regardless of their gender, ethnicity, or religion. Moreover, our work revolves around improving health and nutrition, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), education, and access to opportunities for local communities. The organization also focuses on the well-being of women, marginalized individuals, and rural communities, aiming for a transformed and interdependent society through capacity enhancement and optimal utilization of local resources. SIAN partners with a wide array of organizations, including INGOs, other NGOs, government entities, private sectors, and community-based organizations, believing these alliances lead to more impactful results.

SIAN empowers Nepalese communities through evidence-based programs and partnerships. We champion child rights, improve health, nutrition, WASH, education, and livelihoods, and advocate for the well-being of women, marginalized groups, and rural populations, fostering resilience and inclusive policies.

OUR OBJECTIVES

This organization will be a non-profit, non-commercial, non-political and public welfare social organization.
To support livelihood improvement by increasing production and productivity using local resources.

To coordinate various programs with local, state and federal governments to protect and promote child rights and create a child-friendly nation.

To implement evidence-based interventions to expand equitable access to quality nutrition, maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH), communicable/non-communicable diseases and adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) services, strengthen community-based health systems and promote multi-sectoral collaboration. To take effective initiatives through capacity development, advocacy and inclusive service delivery to reduce malnutrition, reduce maternal and child mortality and ensure adolescent-friendly reproductive health services.
Promote equitable access to safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in health facilities, schools and communities, improve infrastructure and encourage behavioral changes related to personal and environmental hygiene. Promote inclusive, climate resilient and gender responsive (WASH) systems in schools and health facilities through evidence-based actions, capacity development and policy advocacy. Contribute to public health improvement by integrating (WASH) with nutrition and health services.
Advocate for the rights, interests and entitlements of children, women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and disadvantaged groups at the local, provincial and federal government level.
Conduct various public awareness and other programs related to reducing crimes such as human trafficking, drugs, cybercrime.
To coordinate, collaborate and advocate for climate change mitigation and adaptation policies with all levels of government.
To enhance the capacity of vulnerable and marginalized communities in Nepal to adopt adaptation methods and practices to the impacts of climate change.
To conduct various programs related to road accident reduction and humanitarian assistance to disaster-affected families, distribution of relief materials, and to conduct public awareness-raising programs on emergency preparedness and response.
To conduct various programs to provide access to inclusive and quality education to every citizen, as well as to conduct various non-formal and vocational skills-based education programs targeting citizens deprived of formal education.
To conduct various programs on gender equality, disability and social inclusion.
