Bridge School Program:
Bridge School Program aimed to improve access to education for migrant and community children by improving the livelihood of their parents working inside brick industries.
Key Intervention
- Integrated aged 0-5 in Early Childcare and Education Centre (ECEC) and integrated 6-14 years in community schools.
- Supported the ECEC and School going children with necessary educational materials and facilitated the brick industry to enrol them in nearby schools.
- Facilitated the brick industry to provide education accesses to the migrant children of brick kiln.
- Supported the government and brick kilns to reduce the number of children who are far from school access.
- Created an enabling environment for the brick industry workers to enrol their children to school by creating a suitable educational atmosphere.
- Reduced the process of repeating classes and dropout rates of school-going children.
- Created a sustainable behavioural change attitude to kiln owners for effective management of child cases for each season.
- Supported local government for formulation of inclusive and non-discriminative governance policy for migrant children and migrant workers.
