Intervention Area- Brick Industries of Bhaktapur, Lalitpur and Morang

Bridge School Program:

Bridge School Program aimed to improve access to education for migrant and community children by improving the livelihood of their parents working inside brick industries.

Key Intervention

Integrated aged 0-5 in Early Childcare and Education Centre (ECEC) and integrated 6-14 years in community schools.
Supported the ECEC and School going children with necessary educational materials and facilitated the brick industry to enrol them in nearby schools.
Facilitated the brick industry to provide education accesses to the migrant children of brick kiln.
Supported the government and brick kilns to reduce the number of children who are far from school access.
Created an enabling environment for the brick industry workers to enrol their children to school by creating a suitable educational atmosphere.
Reduced the process of repeating classes and dropout rates of school-going children.
Created a sustainable behavioural change attitude to kiln owners for effective management of child cases for each season.
Supported local government for formulation of inclusive and non-discriminative governance policy for migrant children and migrant workers.
